Position: Café Manager – Kaapi Kadai

Reports To: Showroom Operations Head / Management
About Us
Kaapi Kadai is an exclusive in-house café located within our textile showroom, offering premium beverages and a relaxing experience for customers, similar to a Starbucks-style setup. We are looking for a passionate and hands-on Café Manager who can independently manage the café operations while also preparing high-quality beverages and ensuring excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Café Operations
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the café and ensure smooth functioning.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure timely procurement of coffee beans, tea, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
- Coordinate with vendors and maintain inventory records.
- Ensure proper maintenance of coffee machines and café equipment.
Beverage Preparatio
Prepare and serve premium beverages including:
- South Indian Filter Coffee
- Espresso
- Cappuccino
- Latte
- Americano
- Mocha
- Hot and Cold Tea Varieties
- Fresh Juices and Other Refreshments
- Maintain consistency in taste and presentation.
- Develop new beverage recipes and seasonal offerings.
Customer Experience
- Provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for showroom customers.
- Ensure prompt and courteous service.
- Handle customer feedback and maintain high service standards.
- Create a premium café experience aligned with the Kaapi Kadai brand.
Team Management
- Train and supervise café staff and helpers.
- Prepare staff schedules and allocate duties.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and operating procedures.
Sales & Reporting
- Monitor daily sales and expenses.
- Maintain stock and consumption reports.
- Minimise wastage and control operating costs.
- Support promotional activities and special events.
Candidate Profile
- 3–5 years of experience in a café, coffee shop, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
- Hands-on knowledge of preparing coffee and beverages using espresso machines.
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and beverage presentation.
- Ability to manage café operations independently.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Leadership and team management abilities.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with billing/POS systems.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in premium café brands such as Starbucks, Café Coffee Day, Barista, Third Wave Coffee, or similar establishments will be preferred.
