Electrical Head – Forging Unit
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical maintenance department for the forging plant.
- Ensure uninterrupted operation of forging presses, induction furnaces, compressors, cranes, and utility equipment.
- Plan and implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults in motors, drives, PLCs, HMIs, and automation systems.
- Manage HT/LT electrical distribution, transformers, substations, DG sets, and power systems.
- Monitor energy consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory regulations.
- Prepare maintenance schedules, SOPs, and maintenance records.
- Manage spare parts inventory and vendor coordination.
- Lead and develop electricians, supervisors, and engineers.
- Coordinate with production, mechanical maintenance, and quality teams to improve equipment reliability.
- Participate in new equipment installation, commissioning, and plant expansion projects.
- Ensure adherence to ISO, TPM, 5S, and safety practices.
Required SkillsTechnical Skills
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems.
- HT/LT power distribution and substation management.
- PLC programming and troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Delta, etc.).
- VFDs, servo drives, soft starters, and motor control systems.
- Electrical panels (PCC, MCC, APFC).
- Transformers, DG sets, UPS systems, and power factor improvement.
- SCADA and industrial automation.
- Industrial instrumentation (sensors, transmitters, encoders, temperature controllers).
- Knowledge of induction heating systems used in forging.
- Preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA), FMEA, and reliability improvement.
Leadership Skills
- Team management and mentoring.
- Planning and scheduling maintenance.

- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (preferred)
- M.Tech or MBA (Maintenance/Operations) is an added advantage.
Experience
- 10–15+ years in industrial electrical maintenance.
- At least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in forging, steel, automotive, or heavy engineering industries is preferred.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
