Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated Science Teacher to join our academic team. The candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging science lessons, conducting practical activities, assessing student learning, and fostering scientific thinking and curiosity.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver effective Science lessons in accordance with the prescribed curriculum.
- Explain scientific concepts clearly through practical examples, demonstrations, experiments, and activities.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, question papers, and other teaching materials.
- Conduct and supervise laboratory experiments while ensuring proper safety procedures.
- Assess students through tests, assignments, projects, practicals, and classroom activities.
- Monitor students' academic progress and provide timely feedback and additional support.
- Encourage curiosity, critical thinking, observation, experimentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-disciplined classroom environment.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student performance.
- Communicate with parents regarding students' academic progress when required.
- Participate in staff meetings, training programs, examinations, school events, and other academic activities.
- Keep up to date with developments in Science education and effective teaching practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science or a relevant subject.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred/required as per school norms.
- Prior teaching experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Science concepts and the relevant school curriculum.
- Good communication and classroom-management skills.
