The Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and onboarding manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, and brand owners as dropshipping partners for Ideal Wears' eCommerce platform. The role focuses on building long-term business relationships, negotiating mutually beneficial agreements, and expanding the company's product portfolio while ensuring quality, competitive pricing, and reliable fulfillment.
- Research and identify potential suppliers and vendors across categories such as footwear, apparel, cosmetics, fashion accessories, and other lifestyle consumer products.
- Contact prospective vendors through phone calls, emails, online meetings, and in-person visits.
- Present the Ideal Wears business model and explain the benefits of partnering through a dropshipping arrangement.
- Evaluate vendors based on product quality, pricing, inventory availability, delivery capabilities, return policies, and business reputation.
- Negotiate commercial terms, including: - Wholesale prices, Profit margins, Shipping responsibilities, Return and replacement policies, Payment terms, Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Prepare and coordinate vendor agreements, Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), and other partnership documents.
- Coordinate with the legal and management teams during contract finalization.
- Collect and maintain vendor documentation, including GST registration, PAN, bank details, business licenses, and product catalogues.
- Ensure that product information, images, specifications, pricing, and inventory are accurately integrated into the eCommerce platform.
- Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with vendor partners.
- Monitor vendor performance with respect to order fulfillment, product quality, shipping timelines, customer complaints, and return rates.
- Resolve operational issues between vendors and internal teams.
- Conduct regular market research to identify new product categories, emerging brands, and business opportunities.
- Maintain records of negotiations, agreements, vendor communications, and partnership performance.
- Work closely with the operations, procurement, marketing, and customer support teams to improve the overall dropshipping ecosystem.
