Position Summary
The Design Engineer – Mechanical will be responsible for detailed engineering, CAD modeling, drawing preparation, and execution support for engineering projects. The role focuses on converting design concepts into accurate, manufacturing-ready drawings and supporting internal engineering teams during the design and execution phases.
Key Responsibilities1. Detailed Engineering & CAD
- Prepare 3D models using CAD tools.
- Develop General Arrangement (GA), fabrication, and assembly drawings.
- Create installation layouts and equipment mounting drawings.
- Design brackets, supports, enclosures, and structural components.
- Perform clash checks and ensure proper integration of components.
2. Drawing & Documentation
- Prepare detailed part and assembly drawings.
- Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Maintain drawing revisions and documentation control.
- Ensure drawings are accurate, error-free, and manufacturing-ready.
3. Basic Engineering Support
- Perform basic calculations related to clearances, space utilization, and mounting feasibility.
- Support equipment layout preparation and placement.
- Assist the Senior Design Engineer in resolving design constraints.
4. Internal Coordination
- Coordinate with internal design teams to obtain interface inputs.
- Work under the guidance of the Senior Design Engineer for design modifications and updates.
5. Manufacturing Support
- Provide drawing clarifications through the Senior Design Engineer.
- Support the resolution of fitment and fabrication-related issues.
6. Site Support
- Support installation activities when required.
- Assist in updating drawings based on as-built site conditions.
Required Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
Required Experience
- 2–6 years of experience in mechanical design.
- Experience in CAD modeling and fabrication drawings.
- Exposure to heavy engineering or industrial systems is preferred.
Required Technical Skills
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of fabrication drawings and manufacturing processes.
- Basic understanding of GD&T.
- Knowledge of engineering materials and machining processes.
- Basic understanding of mechanical calculations.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
