Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to create, maintain, and improve high-quality technical documentation for our products and services. The ideal candidate can translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for developers, customers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain product documentation, user guides, API documentation, installation guides, and release notes.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, QA, and support teams to understand technical features and workflows.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), knowledge base articles, FAQs, and training materials.
- Research technical information and convert it into easy-to-understand documentation.
- Ensure documentation is accurate, consistent, and up to date with product releases.
- Edit and proofread technical content for clarity, grammar, and style.
- Organize documentation using appropriate information architecture and documentation standards.
- Manage documentation version control and publishing.
- Gather feedback from stakeholders and continuously improve documentation quality.
- Support documentation for internal and external audiences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in technical writing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
- Experience creating software or SaaS documentation.
- Familiarity with documentation tools such as Markdown, Microsoft Word, Confluence, Notion, MadCap Flare, or Adobe FrameMaker.
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience documenting REST APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JSON, XML, and SQL.
- Familiarity with developer documentation portals.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of AI, cloud platforms, or enterprise software is a plus.
