Job Role:
1. Ensuring shop safety checks are done on time.
2. Ensuring safety during SOP of new plant and scaling up operations.
3. Ensuring safety of MHE - Crane, Forklift, Tow Truck etc.
4. Safety training to operators and supervisors.
5. Achieve safety area target with respect to HHT, KYT, Suggestions, SHE compliance.
6. Safety checks for New Equipements and safety accessories like crane ceiling.
7. Carry out safety audits and ensuring timely closure.
8. Coordinate with External Auditors of safety, ISO-45000 and compliance.
9. Encourage and ensure countermeasures on Near Misses.
Reporting To: Department head
Educational Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering/ Safety
Work Experience (Years) in treasury activities: 4 to 9 Years
Job Responsibilities
1. Understanding and de-risking safety risks in engine components machining Plant.
2. Achieving safety targets with respect to KYT, HHT, Near Misses, MHE compliance.
3. New plant machinery safety checks and ensure closure of observations.
4. Timely safety audit of facilities, closure of all observations.
5. Timely checking of MHE - Crane, Forklift, Tow Truck.
4. Motivate team to give safety suggestions and ensure implementation of the same.
5. Training operators, supervisors, contractors for safety compliance.
6. Coordinate and implement as per guidelines with Central Safety Cell.
7. Development of new PPE's as per requirement.
8. Understanding and adhering to 5S, 3G, 3K, HP-REN-SO principles.
10. Participate in Safety Circles, Safety Kaizens, Safety Team meetings.
Competencies / Skills
Functional/Technical:
- Sound knowledge of safety risks in engine components machining Plants.
- Hands on experience in doing safety checks of critical safety items, safety equipments, safety accessories.
Ability to understand Factories Act requirements, SHE Compliance, ISO 45000.
- Work experience in Japanese Safety Managment practises.
- Expertise in improving plant operations safety
- Experience in pressure vessels, hot work, gas lines, confined work
- Proficiency in MS Excel Advanced & MS Power Point
