Job Title: Purchase Officer – Transport & Vehicle Operations

Job Summary
The Purchase Officer is responsible for procuring vehicle spare parts, tyres, lubricants, fuel-related materials, maintenance services, and transport-related equipment. The role ensures timely availability of materials to minimize vehicle downtime while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase vehicle spare parts, tyres, batteries, lubricants, and maintenance consumables.
Source and negotiate with vendors for the best prices, quality, and delivery terms.
Raise Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and issue Purchase Orders (POs).
Coordinate with the fleet, workshop, and maintenance teams to understand procurement requirements.
Ensure timely availability of critical spare parts to avoid vehicle breakdowns and operational delays.
Maintain records of purchases, supplier quotations, invoices, and delivery challans.
Monitor inventory levels of transport-related materials and reorder as required.
Develop and maintain relationships with OEMs, authorized dealers, and local suppliers.
Verify received materials against purchase orders and quality specifications.
Coordinate with the finance department for invoice verification and vendor payments.
Track procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and statutory requirements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in transport, logistics, fleet management, mining, or construction.
Required Skills
Knowledge of commercial vehicle spare parts and maintenance requirements.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Understanding of inventory and fleet procurement processes.
Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP software (SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.).
Good analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage urgent procurement requirements.

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
