Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, providing medication counseling to patients, and supporting the safe and effective use of medicines within the hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately and efficiently.
- Review prescriptions to ensure correctness, dosage accuracy, and potential drug interactions.
- Provide medication counseling and guidance to patients regarding dosage, administration, and side effects.
- Maintain proper inventory levels of medicines and medical supplies.
- Monitor stock expiry dates and ensure proper storage of medications.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication management.
- Maintain pharmacy records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, hospital policies, and safety standards.
- Handle procurement and ordering of medicines when required.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and medication safety programs.
- Respond to medication-related inquiries from patients and healthcare staff.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (D.Pharm/B.Pharm/M.Pharm).
- Valid Pharmacist Registration Certificate from the relevant Pharmacy Council.
- Proven experience in a hospital, clinic, or retail pharmacy is preferred.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations, drug interactions, and medication safety.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and basic computer applications.
