We are seeking a visionary and technically proficient Senior Architect to work in our design team and oversee the execution of a wide variety of projects. In this role, you will bridge the gap between creative design and technical feasibility, managing projects from the initial concept phase through to final construction. You will be responsible for ensuring architectural excellence, regulatory compliance, and client satisfaction while mentoring junior staff and managing stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Leadership: Lead the development of design concepts, ensuring they meet aesthetic goals, functional requirements, and sustainability standards.
- Project Management: Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Technical Oversight: Review and approve complex sets of construction documents, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to local building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations (e.g., MDDA in Dehradun, RERA, or international standards).
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and engineering consultants (Structural, MEP, Landscape).
- Team Mentorship: Supervise and provide technical guidance to Junior Architects and Interns, fostering a collaborative studio environment.
- Site Supervision: Conduct periodic site visits to monitor progress and ensure construction aligns with design intent and quality standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch / M.Arch) from a recognized institution.
- Licensure: Active registration with the Council of Architecture (COA) or relevant national/regional board.
- Software Proficiency: Expert-level skills in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction materials, building systems, and sustainable design practices (LEED/GRIHA).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, public speaking, and negotiation skills.
Experience Requirements
- Proven track record of managing projects from inception to completion.
- Demonstrated experience in handling diverse project typologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialization in Green Building or Urban Planning or Landscape Architecture.
- A strong portfolio showcasing both built projects and creative conceptual work.
