Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise day-to-day production and shop floor activities.
- Plan and allocate manpower according to production requirements and project priorities.
- Prepare and monitor production schedules and daily production targets.
- Understand and interpret Mechanical Drawings, GA Drawings, Fabrication Drawings, and manufacturing drawings.
- Coordinate with the Design, Purchase, Quality, Stores, and Project teams for smooth production.
- Monitor fabrication and manufacturing activities such as cutting, welding, drilling, grinding, assembly, fitting, and finishing.
- Ensure production is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
- Monitor material availability, manpower utilization, machine utilization, and production progress.
- Identify production bottlenecks and take corrective actions to improve productivity.
- Maintain daily production reports, manpower reports, material requirements, and work-progress records.
- Ensure proper utilization of raw materials, consumables, tools, and machinery.
- Coordinate with supervisors, welders, fitters, fabricators, and other shop-floor workers.
- Handle shop floor discipline and employee grievances professionally.
- Resolve day-to-day manpower and production-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and 5S practices on the shop floor.
- Support management in achieving production targets, quality requirements, and delivery schedules.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with the shop floor team and report production status to management.
- Participate in process improvement, productivity improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Processes.
- Good understanding of Mechanical Design and Engineering Drawings.
- Knowledge of Fabrication and Welding Processes.
- Good Production Planning and Manpower Planning skills.
- Strong Shop Floor Management capability.
- Ability to manage and coordinate fabricators, welders, fitters, helpers, and supervisors.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good communication and team-handling skills.
- Ability to handle employee grievances and shop-floor conflicts.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel, MS Office, and production reporting.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Knowledge of 5S, safety practices, quality control, and productivity improvement will be an advantage.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
