Admissions Counsellor (Student Recruitment & Admissions)

Job Summary
As an Admissions Counsellor, you will be responsible for counselling prospective students, understanding their career aspirations, recommending suitable courses, and converting enquiries into successful admissions.
This role combines career counselling, relationship building, and admissions management. You will be expected to achieve monthly admission targets while maintaining a professional and student-first approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel prospective students and parents through walk-ins, phone calls, WhatsApp, email, and video meetings.
- Understand each student's interests, strengths, career goals, and educational background.
- Recommend suitable courses based on the student's aspirations.
- Explain course curriculum, fee structure, scholarships, internships, placements, and career opportunities.
- Convert enquiries into confirmed admissions through effective counselling and consistent follow-ups.
- Handle enquiries generated through digital marketing campaigns, social media, websites, education fairs, referrals, and walk-ins.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, follow-ups, and admissions in the CRM system.
- Coordinate admission documentation, application forms, and fee collection.
- Build long-term relationships with students and parents throughout the admission process.
- Achieve monthly admission and revenue targets.
- Participate in admission drives, seminars, exhibitions, career guidance sessions, and promotional events.
- Coordinate with academic and administrative teams to ensure a smooth admission experience.
- Stay updated with all courses, admission policies, university guidelines, and industry trends.

- Strong follow-up and relationship management skills.
- Good presentation and negotiation skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple enquiries simultaneously.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Master's degree is an advantage).
- 1–5 years of experience in admissions, education counselling, inside sales, EdTech, or student recruitment.
- Freshers with exceptional communication skills and a passion for counselling may also apply.
