Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and organized Store Manager to oversee inventory, material handling, stock management, and store operations for our Iron & Steel manufacturing unit. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring timely material availability, and coordinating with purchase, production, and accounts departments.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage overall store and inventory operations.
- Maintain accurate records of raw materials, consumables, spares, and finished goods.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure timely availability of materials.
- Handle material receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance activities.
- Maintain stock registers and ERP/software entries.
- Coordinate with the Purchase department for material requirements.
- Conduct periodic stock verification and physical inventory checks.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.
- Monitor inward and outward material movement.
- Ensure proper documentation of GRN, material issue slips, and stock records.
- Minimize inventory discrepancies and material losses.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, and Accounts departments.
- Ensure proper storage practices and housekeeping within the store.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of store and inventory management
- Knowledge of stock control and material management
- Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Excel
- Good documentation and reporting skills
- Inventory reconciliation and stock audit knowledge
- Strong coordination and organizational skills
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Experience in Iron & Steel / Manufacturing Industry preferred
- Experience in handling raw materials, consumables, and industrial spares
- Graduate preferred
- Knowledge of ERP software will be an added advantage
- Immediate joiners preferred
