We are looking for a skilled and versatile Digital Artist & Illustrator with at least 1 year of relevant experience in children’s book or comic-style illustration.
As part of our creative team, you will be responsible for transforming ideas, scripts, and concepts into engaging visual stories, working closely with our design and sales teams. Illustrators play a key role in bringing stories to life through compelling visuals and must be able to interpret briefs effectively and deliver high-quality artwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality digital illustrations forchildren’s books, comics, and related projects
- Develop characters, scenes, and storytelling visuals based on client briefs
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand and execute creative requirements
- Adapt illustration styles based on global client preferences and trends
- Revise and refine artwork based on feedback
- Maintain consistency in style, quality, and deadlines across projects
- Deliver print-ready and digital-ready artwork files
Requirements (Minimum 1 Year Experience Mandatory)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in digital illustration, preferably in children’s books or comics
- Strong understanding of Adobe Photoshop (essential)
- Ability to create art in multiple styles (cartoon, fantasy, realistic, sci-fi, etc.)
- Strong grasp of perspective, composition, and 3D space
- Ability to interpret concepts and transform ideas into visuals
- Comfortable working with international clients and diverse creative briefs
- Good communication skills in English for understanding project requirements
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in children’s illustration, character design, and sketching (Digital only)
- Hands-on experience with Graphic Tablets / Pen Tablets / Drawing Monitors
- Ability to create consistent characters and scenes as per guidelines
- Strong creativity, attention to detail, and storytelling ability
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Profile
- Candidates with children’s book or comic portfolio will be highly preferred
- Experience in visual storytelling and sequential art is a plus
- Passion for illustration and willingness to learn and grow
Location Requirement
Candidates must be able to:
- Reliably commute to Kolkata (Airport Gate No. 1 area)
- Or be willing to relocate before joining
