Job Summary:
The Civil Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all on-site activities to ensure the efficient and timely completion of construction projects. This role involves managing laborer’s, subcontractors, and equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and maintaining quality control throughout the construction process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Management:
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day operations on the construction site.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Monitor and report on project progress, including keeping the Project Manager informed of any issues or delays.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and direct on-site personnel, including subcontractors and laborer’s.
- Provide guidance and instruction to construction teams.
- Conduct regular site meetings to coordinate activities and resolve issues.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Conduct safety briefings and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect and review all work to ensure it meets quality standards.
- Identify and rectify defects or non-compliance issues.
- Maintain detailed records of quality inspections and corrective actions.
- Resource Management:
- Coordinate the delivery and use of materials and equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Optimize resource allocation to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Communication:
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports.
- Address and resolve any on-site issues or conflicts.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, schedules, and cost reports.
- Ensure all necessary documentation is completed and filed appropriately.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in the construction industry.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
