- Support WordPress applications handling 100+ concurrent users while maintaining responsive public and admin experiences.
- Apply WordPress security best practices, including hardening, sanitisation, escaping, capability checks, and update management.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve publishing problems while keeping the platform live.
- Work effectively with legacy code and technical debt, improving the existing platform without unnecessary rewrites.
- Refactor incrementally using safe and reversible changes.
- Design maintainable solutions that future engineers can extend.
- Own WordPress best practices, plugin/theme lifecycle management, and ongoing platform stewardship.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain engineering standards.
- Work independently from requirements through production delivery.

- Demonstrated ability to own and maintain a live WordPress platform over the long term; 2+ years of production platform ownership is expected.
- Ability to work independently and contribute effectively to code reviews.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
- Comfortable with asynchronous communication, standups, technical discussions, and regular team coordination.
- Willingness to spend up to 10 days onsite during onboarding.
