Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Senior Resident in General Surgery to provide high-quality surgical care to patients and support the department in clinical, emergency, and operative services. The candidate will work closely with consultants and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure effective patient management and safe surgical care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage patients presenting with surgical conditions in OPD, IPD, and emergency services.
- Conduct comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative patient assessments.
- Assist consultants in surgical procedures and independently perform procedures within the scope of qualifications and hospital privileges.
- Monitor patients during the pre-operative and post-operative period.
- Identify and manage post-operative complications and surgical emergencies appropriately.
- Attend to emergency surgical cases and provide timely clinical intervention.
- Participate in ward rounds and ensure continuity of patient care.
- Coordinate with consultants, anaesthetists, nursing staff, and other departments.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records, case sheets, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
- Follow hospital policies, clinical protocols, infection-control practices, and patient-safety standards.
- Participate in emergency, night, and on-call duties as required.
- Contribute to teaching, clinical discussions, and academic activities within the department.
Qualification:
- MS/DNB in General Surgery from a recognized institution.
- Valid medical registration with the relevant Medical Council.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong clinical assessment and surgical decision-making skills.
- Good knowledge of general surgical procedures and peri-operative care.
- Ability to manage surgical emergencies effectively.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹250,000.00 per month
