Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Estimation Engineer with strong knowledge in furniture manufacturing and interior fit-out projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, material take-offs, and tender submissions to ensure profitable and competitive project execution.
Key Responsibilities Estimation & Costing
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for furniture production and interior fit-out works.
- Analyze architectural & interior drawings to determine project scope.
- Perform quantity take-offs and prepare BOQs.
- Calculate material, labor, machinery, and overhead costs.
Tender & Proposal Preparation
- Prepare commercial and technical proposals.
- Participate in tender submissions and negotiations.
- Coordinate with design and project teams for clarifications.
Material & Vendor Coordination
- Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Evaluate vendor pricing and maintain updated rate analysis.
- Develop cost comparison sheets.
Cost Control & Reporting
- Maintain cost database for materials and production processes.
- Monitor project budgets and suggest cost optimization strategies.
- Prepare estimation reports for management review.
Technical Requirements
- Strong knowledge of furniture materials (plywood, MDF, laminates, veneers, hardware, fittings).
- Experience in modular furniture, custom joinery, and interior fit-out works.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel (advanced formulas), and ERP/estimating software.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil / Mechanical / Interior / Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum 5–10 years experience in furniture or interior contracting industry.
