HIS IT Personnel – Clinical HIS/IT Team
Summary
To ensure the end-to-end implementation, support, and optimization of the Clinical Hospital Information System (HIS) across OPD and IPD, enabling seamless digital workflows for doctors, nurses, and administrative staff.
What you will do: (Key responsibilities):
System Implementation & Integration
- Configure and deploy HIS modules for OPD (registration, consultation, pharmacy, billing) and IPD (admission, nursing notes, orders, discharge).
- Integrate HIS with ancillary systems (LIS, RIS, PACS, billing, pharmacy).
- Support HL7/FHIR-based interoperability with external labs and insurance portals.
Operational Support
- Provide tier-1 and tier-2 support for HIS issues raised by clinical staff.
- Monitor uptime, response times, and error logs; escalate unresolved issues to vendors.
- Ensure real-time troubleshooting during OPD rush hours and critical IPD workflows.
Training & Adoption
- Conduct structured training sessions for clinicians, nurses, and billing staff.
- Create workflow-specific guides (e.g., OPD consultation entry, IPD order sets).
- Track adoption metrics and provide refresher training where gaps are identified.
Data & Security
- Validate clinical data entry for accuracy and completeness.
- Enforce role-based access controls to safeguard patient confidentiality.
- Support compliance with NABH, NDHM/ABDM standards, and hospital IT policies.
Process Optimization
- Map clinical workflows and recommend HIS-driven improvements (e.g., reducing duplicate entries, automating discharge summaries).
- Collaborate with operations to benchmark HIS performance against industry leaders.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science; healthcare IT certification preferred.
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience with HIS/EMR/EHR systems in hospital settings.
- Computer hardware, networking knowledge
- Strong knowledge of OPD/IPD workflows, LIS/RIS/PACS integration, and billing systems.
- Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, and SNOMED CT coding standards.
- Proficiency in SQL databases, networking basics, and system administration.
