Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and experienced Nursing & GDA In-Charge to manage and supervise nursing and GDA staff, prepare and monitor duty rosters, ensure proper deployment of manpower, and maintain high standards of patient care. The candidate will be responsible for both staff management and bedside patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, manage and regularly update the Nursing Staff Duty Roster and GDA Duty Roster as per hospital requirements.
- Ensure adequate staff deployment in all wards, departments and patient care areas.
- Manage and supervise Nursing Staff and GDA staff on a day-to-day basis.
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, duty allocation and discipline.
- Ensure proper handover and takeover of duties between shifts.
- Supervise bedside patient care and ensure that patients receive timely and appropriate nursing care.
- Monitor vital signs, medication administration, nursing procedures and other patient-care activities.
- Ensure proper implementation of doctors' orders and nursing instructions.
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, GDA staff and other departments for smooth patient care.
- Ensure proper cleanliness, hygiene and patient comfort in wards and patient-care areas.
- Monitor GDA performance regarding patient shifting, positioning, feeding assistance, personal hygiene and other assigned patient-care activities.
- Ensure proper documentation of nursing care, patient records, medication charts and other required documents.
- Identify staffing shortages and arrange appropriate manpower deployment in coordination with the Nursing Superintendent.
- Handle staff-related issues, duty adjustments and emergency manpower requirements.
- Conduct regular rounds of wards and patient-care areas.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, SOPs, infection control practices and NABH standards.
- Report any patient-care issue, staff negligence, incident or emergency situation to the concerned authority immediately.
- Assist in training and orientation of new nursing and GDA staff.
- Maintain discipline, teamwork and professional conduct among nursing and GDA staff.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Nursing Superintendent / Management.
Job Specifications
Education:
- GNM / B.Sc. Nursing preferred.
- Relevant healthcare qualification for supervisory responsibilities.
Experience:
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in hospital nursing services.
- Experience in nursing supervision, roster management and GDA staff management preferred.
- Candidates with experience in NABH-accredited hospitals will be preferred.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
