Job Title: Senior Web Developer (WordPress & Shopify)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Web Developer (WordPress & Shopify) to lead website development projects from concept to launch. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in WordPress, Shopify, hosting environments, website maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
This role requires a proactive, solution-oriented professional who can collaborate effectively with designers, marketers, content writers, and project managers to deliver high-performing websites aligned with brand and business objectives. The candidate should demonstrate a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and the ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and streamline workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Website Development & Management
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress and Shopify websites.
- Build responsive, mobile-friendly, and high-performance websites.
- Develop custom functionalities using PHP and relevant technologies.
- Manage the complete website development lifecycle from planning to deployment.
- Ensure website security, scalability, and optimal performance.
- Independently manage multiple client projects and meet deadlines.
WordPress Development
- Customize WordPress themes, plugins, and WooCommerce functionalities.
- Work with page builders such as Elementor, Gutenberg, and WPBakery.
- Convert Figma or PSD designs into responsive websites.
- Configure integrations, updates, and security measures.
Shopify Development
- Build and manage Shopify stores.
- Customize themes, layouts, and user experiences.
- Configure products, collections, payment gateways, and shipping settings.
- Integrate third-party applications and tools.
Hosting & Technical Support
- Manage hosting environments, domains, DNS, SSL certificates, and email configurations.
- Perform website migrations, backups, and deployments.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and monitor website performance.
Website Optimization
- Improve website speed, Core Web Vitals, and overall performance.
- Implement SEO best practices and conduct website audits.
- Ensure websites follow modern UX/UI standards.
AI & Productivity Enhancement
- Utilize AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and automation platforms to improve workflows, coding efficiency, content structuring, and productivity.
- Recommend and implement process improvements where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in Web Development.
- Strong expertise in WordPress development.
- Hands-on experience with Shopify development.
- Experience working in a branding, digital, or creative agency environment.
- Strong knowledge of hosting, server management, and website optimization.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently manage projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
