We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Charge Posting Executive with 1-3 years of experience in US Medical Billing to join our team. The Charge Posting Executive will play a critical role in accurately recording and posting charges for medical services rendered by healthcare providers, ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review encounter forms or electronic encounter records to accurately capture and record medical services, procedures, and diagnoses performed by healthcare providers.
- Enter charges into billing software or electronic health records (EHR) systems with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Verify that all charge information, including CPT/HCPCS codes, modifiers, and patient demographics, is complete and compliant with payer requirements.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or inconsistencies in charge documentation, working closely with billing managers as needed.
- Ensure that charges are posted in a timely manner to facilitate prompt claim submission and reimbursement.
- Reconcile posted charges with encounter data and other billing records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with coding specialists and billing managers to address coding-related issues and optimize revenue capture.
- Stay informed about changes in coding regulations, payer policies, and industry best practices related to charge posting.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation of charge posting activities, including charge logs, reconciliation reports, and audit trails.
Qualifications
· Graduate/Undergraduate.
· Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in charge posting or medical billing, preferably in a US healthcare setting.
· Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT/HCPCS codes, ICD-10 coding, and insurance billing procedures.
· Familiarity with commercial and government payers, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance carriers.
· Proficiency in using billing software (EPIC, Tebra, Advance MD, Practice Fusion), electronic health records (EHR), and Microsoft Office applications.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
· Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload efficiently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
