Pastry Chef / Bakery Assistant — Little Misschef
Little Misschef is a growing cloud bakery looking for a passionate, hardworking, and creative Pastry Chef / Bakery Assistant to join our team. We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys baking, loves working with desserts, is eager to learn, and can thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake cakes, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, tea cakes, and other desserts
- Frost, decorate, and stack cakes neatly and professionally
- Assist in preparation of savoury items such as breads, dips, cheeses, gourmet bakes, and café-style items
- Support with kitchen prep, ingredient measuring, batching, and production work
- Pack orders carefully while maintaining presentation and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation of the kitchen at all times
- Keep track of inventory and maintain stock checklists for ingredients and packaging materials
- Assist with daily kitchen operations and contribute wherever required
- Ensure consistency, freshness, and quality across all products
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of bakery/pastry kitchen experience preferred
- Freshers with strong interest, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn are welcome to apply
- Basic knowledge of baking, cake frosting, and handling kitchen equipment is important
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Must be proactive, responsible, and willing to assist in all areas of the kitchen when needed
- Positive attitude, team-player mindset, and eagerness to contribute and grow with the brand
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and kitchen discipline at all times
- Should be open to flexible working hours during busy periods, festive seasons, pop-ups, and special occasions
- Ability to handle pressure calmly during high-volume production days
