About Vasca
Vasca Bakehouse & Café is a premium artisan bakery and specialty café dedicated to quality, freshness, and exceptional guest experiences. We are looking for hardworking and reliable Kitchen Helpers to support our bakery and hot kitchen operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist chefs with food preparation, ingredient handling, and basic kitchen tasks.
- Wash, peel, cut, and prepare vegetables and other ingredients.
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and hygienic at all times.
- Wash utensils, trays, equipment, and workstations.
- Receive, organize, and store raw materials and supplies properly.
- Assist with stock rotation (FIFO) and inventory organization.
- Help with packing, plating, and preparing orders.
- Dispose of waste according to hygiene and safety standards.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and kitchen SOPs.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service hours.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a restaurant, bakery, hotel, or café is preferred but not mandatory.
- Freshers with a positive attitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
- Hardworking, punctual, and disciplined.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Flexible to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
Preferred Skills
- Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety.
- Experience handling kitchen equipment and cleaning procedures.
- Understanding of stock storage and ingredient handling.
