Industry: Real Estate – Residential / Villa Projects
Reporting To: Principal Architect / Design Head
Role Summary
The Interior Design Architect will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and executing interior spaces for villa projects, ensuring alignment with the overall architectural vision, project budgets, and execution timelines. The role requires strong coordination with site teams, consultants, and vendors in a lean organizational setup.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design & Planning
Develop interior design concepts, layouts, and mood boards for villa projects
Prepare space planning, furniture layouts, and interior working drawings
Finalize material palettes, finishes, fixtures, and fittings
Ensure interiors align with architectural intent and brand positioning
Coordinate with external consultants
2. Technical & Drawing Support
Prepare detailed interior drawings including furniture, joinery, flooring, ceiling, lighting, and electrical layouts
Coordinate with MEP consultants for services integration
Review and approve shop drawings from vendors and contractors
Ensure drawings are accurate, buildable, and execution-ready
3. Execution & Site Coordination
Conduct regular site visits to monitor interior execution and quality
Resolve site-level design issues and clarifications
Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and vendors for smooth execution
Ensure timelines, quality standards, and design intent are maintained
4. Cost & Vendor Coordination
Assist in cost estimation and BOQs for interior works
Support value engineering without compromising design quality
Coordinate with vendors for material samples, mock-ups, and approvals
Support procurement and finalization of interior vendors
5. Client & Internal Coordination
Support customer customization and design change requests
Coordinate with sales and marketing teams for interior visuals, brochures, and walkthroughs
Maintain proper documentation of drawings, revisions, and approvals
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design (B.Arch / B.Des )
4–8 years of experience in residential or villa interior projects
Strong understanding of interior materials, detailing, and execution
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering tools
Key Skills & Attributes
Strong aesthetic sensibility with execution focus
High attention to detail and coordination skills
Ability to work independently in a lean team environment
Practical understanding of on-site challenges
Good communication and stakeholder management skills
