We are looking for an experienced CAE Modeler with 4–7 years of experience and strong expertise in CATIA V5, surface modeling, and CAD data preparation for CFD analysis to support engineering workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean up, repair, and prepare complex full-vehicle or component assembly CAD data for CFD models
- Eliminate gaps, self-intersections, inverted normals, and non-manifold edges to generate fully closed, watertight surfaces
- Implement surface morphing and parametric shape adjustments on exterior body panels, front/rear fascia, spoilers, underbody shields, mirrors, air curtains, and ducting
- Import, clean, align, and process 3D scan data (point clouds, STL meshes) from wind tunnel models, clay models, or competitor benchmarking
- Convert raw scan data into smooth, editable, high-quality parametric CAD surfaces using CATIA Digitized Shape Editor (DSE) and Quick Surface Reconstruction (QSR)
Mandatory Skills
Candidates must have hands-on experience in:
- CATIA V5
- Generative Shape Design (GSD) – Advanced surface creation, wireframe, sweep, blend, and modification
- Digitized Shape Editor (DSE) & Quick Surface Reconstruction (QSR) – Point cloud import, alignment, mesh generation, scan-to-CAD conversion
- Freestyle / ICEM Surf – Control point manipulation, Class-A/B surface tweaking, continuous curve/surface matching
- Part Design & Assembly Design – Solid modeling, Boolean operations, large assembly handling
- Experience with CATIA morphing workbenches or integrated morphing utilities (e.g., ANSA Morph, HyperMesh Morphing, or CATIA Natural Shape Morphing)
Salary: Up to ₹4.07 LPA
