Key Responsibilities
- 2D & 3D Design: Create detailed 2D engineering blueprints and high-quality 3D CAD models of product components, enclosures, and internal structural layouts.
- Product Modeling: Utilize SolidWorks and Fusion 360 to develop 3D concepts, component assemblies, and run basic interference checks to ensure proper fitment.
- Manufacturing Blueprints: Generate precise 2D manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD, ensuring accurate dimensioning, tolerances, and clear multi-view projections.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with the electronics and production teams to design mechanical layouts and enclosures that seamlessly integrate with internal electrical components.
- Bill of Materials (BOM): Assist in generating and updating accurate mechanical Bill of Materials for production planning and raw material procurement.
- Design Updates: Efficiently modify and update existing design models based on feedback from testing and the assembly line.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Completed Degree (B.E./B.Tech) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Software Proficiency: Strong, hands-on command of AutoCAD (for 2D) alongside SolidWorks and Fusion 360 (for 3D modeling and assembly).
- Technical Knowledge: Clear understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), orthographic projections, and basic materials knowledge.
- Design Mindset: Ability to visualize physical space, plan compact product layouts, and pay strict attention to geometric accuracy.
- Startup Agility: Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn new design methodologies in a fast-paced environment.
