Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Fitter to carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and machinery in our solvent extraction and edible oil manufacturing plant. The candidate should be capable of ensuring smooth plant operations through preventive and breakdown maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, fitting, maintenance, and repair of plant machinery and equipment.
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, motors, pipelines, valves, and other mechanical systems.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical faults to minimize downtime.
- Assist in equipment alignment, assembly, dismantling, and overhauling activities.
- Ensure safe working practices and adherence to maintenance procedures.
- Maintain maintenance records and report equipment issues to supervisors.
- Coordinate with production and engineering teams for smooth plant operations.
Requirements
- ITI (Fitter) / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing plants, solvent extraction plants, edible oil plants, or process industries.
- Knowledge of mechanical maintenance, equipment fitting, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read basic engineering drawings and maintenance manuals.
- Familiarity with pumps, conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, and industrial machinery.
- Well-groomed with a positive attitude and good work discipline.
