About the Role
Blockchain Council is seeking a detail-oriented SEO Intern to support our organic growth initiatives across multiple websites and brands. This role is ideal for candidates interested in search engine optimization, content strategy, website performance, and digital growth. The intern will gain hands-on experience in modern SEO practices, including exposure to emerging AI-driven search trends and optimization techniques.
Key Responsibilities
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
- Assist in executing on-page and off-page SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and website traffic.
- Optimize website content, metadata, URLs, internal linking structures, and page elements.
- Conduct keyword research and identify content opportunities based on search demand and user intent.
- Perform SEO audits and identify technical, content, and usability improvements.
- Monitor website performance through Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and SEO tools.
Backlink Development
- Research and identify quality backlink opportunities.
- Assist in backlink acquisition campaigns and link-building initiatives.
- Monitor backlink profiles and help maintain healthy domain authority.
Content Optimization
- Optimize existing blogs and landing pages for targeted keywords and search visibility.
- Assist in generating SEO-focused content briefs and topic clusters.
- Collaborate with content teams to ensure content aligns with SEO best practices.
- Support blog creation and content updates to improve rankings and engagement.
AEO & GEO Exposure
- Assist in optimizing content for answer-focused search experiences and AI-powered search platforms.
- Support FAQ development, structured content creation, and schema implementation where applicable.
- Research evolving search trends related to AI-generated search experiences.
Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles and search engine ranking factors.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Familiarity with WordPress, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar tools is a plus.
- Interest in Blockchain, AI, Web3, Cybersecurity, or emerging technologies is preferred.
