About the Internship
We are looking for enthusiastic and self-motivated Backend Developer Interns who are passionate about building scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications. This internship is designed for college students and recent graduates who are eager to gain hands-on experience in backend development by working on real-world projects.
As a Backend Developer Intern, you will collaborate with experienced developers, contribute to live applications, and gain practical exposure to backend architecture, API development, databases, and industry-standard software development practices.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance backend applications.
- Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs.
- Implement business logic and backend functionalities.
- Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases to manage application data.
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and scalable code.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate backend services.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and sprint planning.
- Learn and implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
- Follow coding standards, documentation practices, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of any backend programming language or framework (such as Java, Node.js, Python, .NET, PHP, Go, or similar).
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) or backend development fundamentals.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs.
- Knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with Git and GitHub is an added advantage.
- Good analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Eligibility
- Final-year students or recent graduates (B.E., B.Tech, BCA, MCA, B.Sc., M.Sc., or equivalent).
- Candidates with academic, personal, or freelance backend development projects are encouraged to apply.
