Home Room Teacher
Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate, caring, and dedicated Home Room Teacher to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for students. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall academic, social, emotional, and pastoral development of students while maintaining effective communication with parents and the school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate classroom lessons and learning activities.
- Act as the primary Homeroom/Class Teacher, ensuring effective classroom management and student engagement.
- Monitor and assess students' academic progress, behaviour, attendance, and overall development.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, positive, and well-organised classroom environment.
- Differentiate instruction to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
- Develop and maintain effective lesson plans, student records, assessments, and progress reports.
- Provide appropriate pastoral care, guidance, and student support.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with coordinators, subject teachers, SEN/Special Educators, and school leadership.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, assemblies, extracurricular activities, and professional development programmes.
- Encourage students to develop independence, confidence, creativity, critical thinking, and positive social skills.
- Follow school policies, safeguarding procedures, curriculum standards, and professional expectations.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education / relevant subject.
- B.Ed. / teaching qualification preferred.
- Previous experience as a Homeroom Teacher / Class Teacher / Primary Teacher / Elementary Teacher.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Knowledge of student-centred learning, differentiated instruction, formative assessment, and inclusive education.
- Good interpersonal, organisational, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and international school environment.
