Eaton announced, on June 11, 2026, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. You will be a part of a winning team where you will get exposure to engineer Connectors & Terminal solutions for Electric Vehicle applications. You'll need to understand and support the engineering efforts for connector product group in a matrix organization as an Engineer in Connector division of Vehicle group
"Job Responsibilities
1. This role will contribute to design electrical connectors, terminals & busbar for electric vehicle applications.
2. Ideal candidate shall have strong acumen in mechanical product design with CAD skills (preferrably UGNX) with basic understanding of electronics and electrical fundamentals.
3. Derive requirements for the overall size, fastening, current rating, protection and mounting for electrical connectors, terminals & busbar
4. Develop concepts meeting the requirements and enhance from current design variants within the product portfolio
5. Work with Project Lead to support and execute the project activities to meet the project deliverables on time
6. Conduct benchmarking through soft / hard benchmarking and improvise unique design concepts that is compact, lower in weight, faster heat dissipation and other differentiated technical attributes
7. Perform basic calcuations of weight, load distribution, fastener loads, etc to support the design refinement of connectors, terminals and busbar
8. Perform electrical calculations, concept selection and valiation on busbar & heritage products
9. Basic understanding of plastics and snaps; know how of 3D printing, plastic molding, sheetmetal manufacturing process
10. Create drawings for concept evaluation and apply GD&T controls for part quality and acceptance of critical features. Link special characters to process capability
11. Apply DFSS principles & tools (ex: B&P diagrams, Scorecard, DFMEA) to deliver a robust engineering design.
12. Release drawings to suppliers for prototypes and production through CO / CR in ENOVIA PLM system following the standard process routes
13. Visualise and convert actual application needs into simulation inputs and should be able interpret FEA outcomes and make changes in design accordingly
14. Prepare design review documents and assist engineering leads & program managers for NPI execution."
