Job Summary:
The Gold Loan Auditor is responsible for conducting audits of gold loan branches and operations to ensure compliance with company policies, RBI regulations, internal controls, and operational procedures. The role involves verification of pledged gold, documentation checks, risk assessment, fraud prevention, and reporting audit findings to management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct branch audits and surprise inspections of gold loan branches.
- Verify gold packets, purity, weight, valuation, and storage procedures.
- Check loan documentation, KYC compliance, and customer records.
- Ensure adherence to RBI guidelines and NBFC internal policies.
- Audit cash balances, vault management, and security controls.
- Identify operational lapses, fraud risks, and policy deviations.
- Review gold loan disbursement, repayment, renewal, and auction processes.
- Prepare audit reports with observations and corrective action recommendations.
- Follow up on previous audit findings and compliance status.
- Assist in improving audit systems, controls, and branch processes.
- Provide guidance/training to branch staff regarding audit and compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce.
- 2–5 years experience in NBFC or Gold Loan operations/audit.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Gold appraisal and valuation
- RBI guidelines for NBFCs
- Internal audit procedures
- Risk management and compliance
- Proficiency in MS Excel and audit reporting.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
