Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Orthopaedic OT Technician to join our surgical team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and maintaining the Orthopaedic Operation Theatre and assisting surgeons during various orthopaedic procedures while ensuring strict adherence to sterilization, infection control, and patient safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up the Orthopaedic Operation Theatre before surgical procedures.
- Ensure the availability and proper functioning of orthopedic instruments, equipment, implants, and consumables.
- Assist surgeons and the surgical team during orthopaedic procedures.
- Handle and arrange orthopaedic instruments, including drills, saws, power tools, and other specialized equipment.
- Assist in surgeries such as fracture fixation, plating, nailing, joint replacement, arthroscopy, and trauma procedures.
- Prepare and manage orthopaedic implants, including plates, screws, nails, rods, and prostheses.
- Ensure proper sterilization and disinfection of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Assist with proper patient positioning as per surgical requirements.
- Perform instrument, sponge, and consumable counts before and after procedures.
- Coordinate with surgeons, OT nurses, anesthesia teams, CSSD, and other departments.
- Maintain OT inventory, equipment logs, and surgical documentation.
- Ensure proper biomedical waste disposal as per hospital protocols.
- Handle emergency orthopedic cases efficiently when required.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT) or equivalent qualification.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in an Orthopedic Operation Theatre is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of orthopedic surgical instruments and procedures.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience in Orthopedic OT procedures.
- Knowledge of orthopedic instruments and implant systems.
- Experience handling power tools, drills, saws, and C-arm coordination.
- Strong understanding of sterilization and infection control protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to handle emergency and trauma cases.
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
