Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant / Team Lead to oversee end-to-end accounting operations, ensure statutory and international compliance, lead the finance team, and support business growth through strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership abilities, in-depth accounting knowledge, and experience in managing audits, taxation, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, MIS reports, and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, ROC, and other statutory regulations.
- Handle international tax compliance, cross-border transactions, withholding taxes, and related documentation where applicable.
- Coordinate and lead internal and external audits, ensuring timely closure of audit observations and compliance requirements.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, financial controls, and SOPs to improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and working capital management.
- Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to improve profitability and support business decisions.
- Support senior management in developing and implementing financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Review financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial processes.
- Oversee payroll accounting, reimbursements, vendor payments, employee settlements, and Full & Final (F&F) settlements.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of accounting records and documentation for audits and statutory compliance.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and government authorities.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Finance & Accounts team, ensuring high performance and continuous development.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, taxation laws, and financial regulations.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and accounting principles.
- Expertise in GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC compliance, payroll accounting, and statutory reporting.
- Knowledge of international taxation, cross-border compliance, and financial regulations will be an added advantage.
- Experience in managing statutory audits, tax audits, and internal audits.
- Ability to contribute to financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business strategy.
- Strong proficiency in Tally ERP/Tally Prime, Microsoft Excel (Advanced), ERP systems, and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Qualifications
- B.Com (Mandatory)
- M.Com, CA Inter, CMA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent qualification preferred.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts with prior team management experience.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience leading an Accounts/Finance team.
- Strong exposure to audit management and statutory compliance.
- Experience working with multiple entities or international business transactions is preferred.
- Ability to drive process improvements and strengthen financial controls.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Salary: As per company standards and candidate experience.
