- Having knowledge of the Machining Process in CNC/VMC, HMC & part setup.
- Knowledge of Machine Shop Machining, Drawing reading/understanding.
- Knowledge of GD&T.
- Positive can do attitude to problem solving, developing systems, and improving business performance;
- Ability to promote team working culture and demonstrate team ethics;
- Overall management of the machine shop
- Assessing potential using CAD, simulation, and offline calculation to cost new parts and responding to sales team members with estimated production cycle times.
- Programming of CNC machines for new parts using a graphical interface.
- Overseeing trials of new parts and documenting processing parameters.
- Working with the Quality Manager to establish quality control and packing plans for new parts.
- Lead a team of supervisors and operators including allocating daily/weekly tasks to the team.
- Assisting operators with set up of jobs on machines, but ultimately training and mentoring operators to be self-sufficient with support from the training manager.
- Providing technical input on matters such as tooling selection, processing parameters, work holding, processing sequence, finishing and packing.
- Carrying out induction training with new starters.
- Carrying out staff appraisals, supervisions and return to work meetings.
- Ensuring that the team remain in date with mandatory training.
- Carrying out spot checks to ensure quality levels.
- Ensuring acceptable levels of Overall Equipment Effectiveness are achieved.
- Organising Preventative maintenance and cleaning of machines according to manufacturer’s guidelines.
- Liaison with the Operations Planner regarding planning of jobs.
- Liaison with the Operations Planner and Customer Services team in the booking of transport.
- Organising repairs/servicing of machines.
- Building better SOPs and applying lean/six sigma principles.
- Researching new developments and product lines in the organization
- Using mathematical and scientific models to understand production methods
- Testing new products for usability and efficiency
- Developing management control systems for more efficient financial planning
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹85,000.00 per month
