Job Summary:
We seek a detail-oriented and analytical assistant planning engineer with over two years of experience to support project planning, cost estimation, and material costing processes. The ideal candidate should have expertise in material cost planning, BOQ (Bill of Quantities), rate analysis, and cost estimation to optimize project budgets and resource allocation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and analyzing BOQ (Bill of Quantities) for projects.
- Conduct rate analysis and compare market trends to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Develop material costing plans to optimize project expenditures.
- Assist in preparing cost estimation reports for various project components.
- Monitor and track material reconciliation to ensure optimal usage.
- Coordinate with procurement and project teams to ensure accurate cost forecasting.
- Support project planning activities, including scheduling and resource allocation.
- Monitor and track project costs, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma or B.Tech. in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- More than 1 year of experience in project planning, cost estimation, or related roles.
- Proficiency in BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and material cost planning.
- Strong knowledge of cost estimation techniques and construction materials.
- Familiarity with planning and estimation software (e.g., MS Excel, AutoCAD, SAP, or similar tools).
