JOB TITLE: Purchase Specialist
Job Summary:
Purchasing specialists perform specific tasks within a company. They must also maintain documentation that keeps track of purchases and use that information to communicate with accounting so they have all invoices They are responsible for placing orders and answering any and all questions in regards to the status of orders.
Responsibilities
This position is usually responsible for purchasing equipment and supplies, and negotiating rates for those supplies.
They will be tasked with researching all suppliers to ensure the best equipment is procured for the lowest price.
They will need to assist with keeping track of budget expenditures.
A purchasing specialist also will be tasked with catching discrepancies within invoices and researching them.
Finally, this position may be a leadership position and, in turn, will require supervision of
employees

Minimum qualifications
The minimum qualifications for the job are two to three years of purchasing experience and
a Bachelor's degree in a business or related field.
They must have the ability to collect and analyze data to propose solutions to department
related problems.
They must also be able to work alone or in groups to get tasks completed
