The Inventory Analyst is responsible for accurate daily stock entry and maintenance in ERP systems (Posist / Odoo) for FG (Finished Goods), SFG (Semi Finished Goods), RM (Raw
Materials), and PM (Packaging Materials). The role focuses on data accuracy, stock reconciliation, documentation control, and coordination with warehouse and production teams to ensure system stock matches physical inventory.
Primary Responsibilities (ERP & Stock Entry Focus)
- Ensure Daily inward and outward stock entry in ERP (Posist / Odoo).
- Maintain accurate records of FG, SFG, RM, and PM stock movements.
- Create and update GRN, Dispatch, Transfers, Production Entries, and Returns.
- Update batch numbers, expiry dates, item codes, and UOM correctly in system.
- Ensure no pending or backdated entries at end of each day.
- Perform daily / weekly stock reconciliation between physical and ERP stock.
- Generate basic stock and variance reports from ERP.
- Maintain proper documentation of invoices, challans, and stock transfer notes.
- Support cycle counts and monthly physical audits.
- Highlight stock mismatches, damages, and expiry risks to reporting manager.
Other Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Production, Dispatch, and Warehouse teams for smooth stock flow.
- Assist in master data management (SKU codes, categories, UOM, vendor/product mapping).
- Track slow moving and near expiry items and inform seniors.
- Follow Inventory SOPs and compliance standards.
- Maintain data integrity and confidentiality at all times.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate system data.
- Ensure proper filing and record keeping of all inventory documents.
- Provide basic stock status inputs for planning when required.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of ERP systems (Posist / Odoo preferred).
- Basic MS Excel / Google Sheets knowledge.
- Good numerical ability and attention to detail.
- Understanding of basic warehouse and inventory processes.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Discipline in documentation and record keeping.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate / Diploma in Commerce, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.
- 1–2 years experience in inventory, warehouse, or data entry role.
- Freshers with ERP knowledge can also apply.
