About the Role: Ambica Dhatu Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a highly experienced and skilled Senior Electrician (PLC & Drives) to join our Electrical Maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in industrial electrical maintenance, PLC systems, automation, drives, motors, EOT cranes, and welding machinery within manufacturing or heavy engineering industries. The selected candidate will play a key role in ensuring uninterrupted plant operations through preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance while maintaining the highest standards of safety and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Maintenance Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant electrical systems. Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults to minimize production downtime. Maintain electrical panels, switchgears, transformers, and power distribution systems. Ensure reliability and availability of all electrical equipment.
PLC & Automation:
Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems. Monitor and maintain industrial automation systems. Support automation upgrades, modifications, and vendor coordination activities.
Drives & Motors :
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot AC/DC drives and industrial motors. Conduct testing, alignment, and performance optimization of motors and drives. Execute routine inspection and preventive maintenance programs.
EOT Cranes & Material Handling :
Equipment Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of EOT cranes, hoists, and associated electrical systems. Conduct periodic inspections to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Butt Welding Machines :
Troubleshoot and maintain butt welding machines and related electrical circuits. Coordinate repairs and calibration activities to maintain production quality.
Safety & Compliance:
Follow all electrical safety standards, procedures, and company policies. Maintain maintenance records, reports, and equipment history logs. Participate in safety audits and implement corrective actions.
Team Leadership :
Guide and mentor junior electricians and maintenance personnel. Coordinate with production, mechanical maintenance, and project teams. Support continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
Required Skills :
Strong experience in Industrial Electrical Maintenance. Hands-on expertise in PLC systems and Industrial Automation. Thorough knowledge of AC/DC Drives and Industrial Motors. Experience with EOT Crane Electrical Systems. Knowledge of Butt Welding Machines and troubleshooting. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Understanding of electrical safety standards and maintenance best practices. Leadership and team management abilities.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Mandatory). B.Tech in Electrical Engineering preferred. Minimum 20 years of experience in manufacturing, steel, metal, wire, cable, rolling mill, or heavy engineering industries. Proven ability to independently manage critical plant maintenance activities. Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and operational excellence.
