Job Summary
The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory control of construction materials, tools, equipment, and consumables. The role ensures efficient store operations, accurate stock records, timely material availability, and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day store operations and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery challans.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and preservation of materials to prevent damage or loss.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the procurement team for timely replenishment.
- Issue materials to site teams as per approved requisitions and maintain proper documentation.
- Conduct periodic stock verification and inventory audits.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
- Track material consumption and identify slow-moving, excess, or obsolete stock.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and housekeeping practices within the store.
- Supervise store assistants and maintain discipline and operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and storekeeping practices.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/Inventory Management Systems.
- Good analytical, organizational, and record-keeping skills.
- Knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Strong communication and team management abilities.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per hour
