DESIGNATION : [Mumbai] Assistant Manager, Finance (AP & Treasury)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Role Summary
This role is responsible for AP and Treasury activities for Indian entities of BW LPG.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including vendor master data, vendor invoice processing, payroll accounting, and vendor and other payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Maintain a sound understanding of GST/FEMA implications on vendor settlements.
- Review vendor accounts periodically to ensure there are no unexplained or outstanding items, and follow up on vendor advances for timely closure. Ensure proper housekeeping of vendor master data and vendor accounts. Perform regular reconciliations of major vendors with recurring transactions and follow up on pending vendor invoices based on GSTR-2B reports.
- Manage end-to-end treasury operations, including banking operations, liaison with banks on various banking and treasury requirements, account maintenance, dividend payments, etc. Oversee loan management activities, including interest reviews, interest and loan instalment payments, liaison with lenders on changes or amendments, prepayments, etc.
- Support cash management activities, including short- and long-term cash forecasting and other reporting requirements.
- Assist with month-end closing and finalisation activities, including prepayments, accruals, interest accounting, and related reporting.
- Assist in identifying risk exposures related to managed activities and recommend appropriate control measures to mitigate risks in accordance with risk management principles, frameworks, and processes. Identify opportunities for process and system improvements and participate in system implementation projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline from a recognised university, with a strong academic track record.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience, preferably with experience in accounts payable and treasury/banking activities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- A team player with a positive and collaborative attitude.
- This is an onsite role based in Mumbai, India.
