Job Description – Warehouse Manager

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of our warehouse in Kolkata. The candidate will be responsible for inbound and outbound operations, inventory accuracy, warehouse staff, storage optimization, dispatch planning, documentation, safety, and overall operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in warehouse operations and inventory management, along with good knowledge of WMS/ERP, MS Excel, stock reconciliation, and logistics coordination.
Key Responsibilities1. Warehouse Operations
- Manage daily receiving, unloading, put-away, storage, picking, packing, loading, and dispatch operations.
- Ensure materials and finished goods are stored systematically and safely.
- Maintain proper warehouse layout and optimize storage space.
- Ensure smooth inbound and outbound movement of goods.
- Monitor loading/unloading activities and minimize product damage and losses.
2. Inventory Management
- Maintain high inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and physical stock audits.
- Reconcile physical stock with ERP/WMS/system records.
- Investigate and resolve stock shortages, excesses, damages, and discrepancies.
- Monitor ageing, slow-moving, damaged, and obsolete inventory.
- Follow FIFO/FEFO procedures wherever applicable.
- Ensure proper documentation for all inward and outward movements.
3. Team Management
- Supervise warehouse executives, supervisors, pickers, loaders, helpers, and other warehouse staff.
- Allocate daily responsibilities and manage shift requirements.
- Train employees on warehouse processes, SOPs, safety, and system usage.
- Monitor individual and team productivity.
- Maintain discipline and ensure adherence to company policies.
4. Dispatch & Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate with Sales, Procurement, Production, Transporters, and Customer Service teams.
- Ensure timely and accurate dispatches as per customer and business requirements.
- Coordinate with transport partners for vehicle availability and delivery schedules.
- Verify dispatch documentation, delivery challans, invoices, and other required documents.
5. Systems & MIS
- Maintain warehouse transactions accurately in WMS/ERP/Tally/SAP, as applicable.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse MIS reports.
- Track inventory, dispatch, productivity, damages, shortages, and other operational KPIs.
- Use MS Excel for inventory analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
6. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with warehouse safety standards and company SOPs.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, housekeeping, and proper material stacking.
- Ensure safe use of material-handling equipment.
- Conduct regular safety checks and report incidents or risks immediately.
7. Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse productivity, inventory accuracy, space utilization, and turnaround time.
- Reduce operational wastage, damages, and unnecessary costs.
- Develop and implement effective warehouse SOPs and control mechanisms.

Qualification & Experience
- Graduate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field preferred.
- 4–8 years of relevant warehouse/store management experience; experience in FMCG, manufacturing, retail, e-commerce, food, or logistics is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control and warehouse processes.
- Experience with WMS/ERP/SAP/Tally and MS Excel.
- Experience managing warehouse teams and third-party manpower/vendors.

The candidate should be capable of managing people as well as operations and should have a strong focus on inventory accuracy, timely dispatches, cost control, and continuous improvement.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
