About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Director to join our creative production team. The role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about film, video production, storytelling, and direction and want hands-on experience working on real-world productions.
The selected candidate will work closely with the Director and Production Team throughout the pre-production, shoot, and post-production process, helping ensure that creative ideas are executed smoothly on set.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Director in pre to post production planning and on-set execution
- Coordinate with cinematographers, production crew, casting, talent, and other departments
- Assist in preparing and maintaining call sheets, shot lists, log sheets, schedules, and continuity
- Support casting coordination, costume planning, and property/props management
- Understand scripts, briefs, and creative requirements and help translate them into practical on-set execution
- Assist in managing shoot schedules, scene flow, and daily production activities
- Coordinate with talent and crew to ensure smooth execution of scenes
- Maintain continuity and consistency throughout the shoot
- Assist the Director with framing, blocking, shot execution, and creative coordination
- Help identify and resolve on-set production challenges efficiently
- Ensure that the shoot remains aligned with the creative vision, schedule, and production requirements
Requirements
Freshers and experienced candidates are both welcome to apply.
- Basic to strong understanding of filmmaking, storytelling, direction, and shot execution
- Knowledge of costume, props/properties, casting, call sheets, log sheets, and production coordination will be an advantage
- Good understanding of camera framing, shot types, blocking, and continuity
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
- Responsible, punctual, proactive, and willing to learn
- Ability to work collaboratively with directors, crew, and talent
- Candidates with a background in Film, Media, Mass Communication, Content Creation, or related fields are preferred, but not mandatory
