Job Description
- Perform surface, cylindrical, and precision grinding of components and assemblies as per engineering drawings and specifications.
- Set up and operate grinding machines to achieve close tolerances and required surface finish.
- Possess knowledge of tool and cutter grinding operations.
- Monitor machine performance and ensure attainment of daily production targets.
- Improve productivity and maintain the required Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and process requirements.
- Interpret engineering drawings and job specifications for machining operations.
- Implement TPM, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives within the work area.
- Follow safety procedures and utilize all prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain workplace cleanliness and housekeeping in line with 5S standards.
- Be responsible for 5S activities within the assigned cell.
- Ensure upkeep of the Green Corner and departmental communication boards.
- Act as the custodian of TPM activities within the assigned area.
- Maintain departmental records and attendance registers as required.
- Train and support new operators and team members.
- Participate in Cross Functional Teams (CFTs) and improvement projects.
- Value the information received and the effort invested in creating organizational information and ensure that it is accessed only by authorized individuals.
- Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and responsible handling of company information.
Qualifications
Essential
- Diploma in Tool & Die Making / Mechanical / Production Engineering, or
- ITI / NCTVT in Grinding.
Preferred
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Required Skills & Competencies
Technical Competencies
- Knowledge of surface and cylindrical grinding operations.
- Knowledge of tool and cutter grinding.
- Ability to maintain required output and OEE levels.
- Understanding of TPM, Kaizen, and 5S practices.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Behavioural Competencies
- Ability to train newcomers.
- Teamwork and participation in Cross Functional Teams (CFTs).
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong discipline toward housekeeping and safety practices.

Experience Essential
- Minimum 7 years of shop-floor experience after ITI with NCTVT,
- Minimum 8 years of shop-floor experience after ITI,
- Minimum 9 years of shop-floor experience after SSC
- Minimum 3 years of experience after Diploma.
Special Skills Required
Essential
- Knowledge of tool, cutter, and grinding operations.
Preferred
- Good programming knowledge.
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
