About the Role
We're looking for a highly creative Social Media Marketing Manager who can take ownership of the complete content creation process—from strategy to publishing.
This is not a desk-only role.
You'll be brainstorming concepts, planning monthly content calendars, writing scripts, directing shoots, filming content, editing videos, designing engaging posts, and ensuring every piece of content reflects the brand's identity.
We're looking for someone who understands storytelling, marketing psychology, and platform algorithms—not someone who simply follows trends.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy
- Develop monthly social media strategies aligned with business goals.
- Plan content pillars for different brands and industries.
- Research trends, competitors, and audience behaviour.
- Generate creative campaign ideas and viral content concepts.
Content Planning
- Create detailed monthly content calendars.
- Plan Instagram Reels, carousels, stories, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn content.
- Coordinate content production timelines with the team.
Scriptwriting
- Write engaging scripts for reels, advertisements, interviews, testimonials, educational content, and brand storytelling.
- Create compelling hooks that capture attention within the first few seconds.
- Adapt scripts for different audiences and platforms.
Production
- Plan and direct content shoots.
- Shoot videos using smartphones and cameras.
- Guide founders, clients, and team members during filming.
- Ensure high-quality lighting, framing, and audio.
Editing
- Edit engaging short-form videos.
- Create motion graphics, captions, transitions, and visual storytelling elements.
- Design basic social media creatives and carousels when required.
- Maintain consistent brand aesthetics across all platforms.
Publishing & Community
- Schedule and publish content across social media platforms.
- Write captions, hashtags, and optimise posts for reach.
- Monitor performance and suggest improvements based on insights.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to align organic content with paid campaigns.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in social media marketing or content creation.
- Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Excellent scriptwriting and storytelling skills.
- Experience planning and executing content shoots.
- Strong video editing skills using Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar software.
- Basic graphic design skills using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or Figma.
- Understanding of social media analytics and content optimisation.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- A portfolio showcasing social media work is mandatory.
Bonus Skills
- Motion graphics and animation.
- Photography and cinematography.
- Experience working with creators or influencers.
- Copywriting for advertisements.
- Knowledge of Meta Ads and content performance metrics.
- AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, Runway, ElevenLabs, or similar.
