Job Description Sales Engineer (4–6 Years Experience) Role Overview A Sales Engineer responsible for driving business growth through structured field sales, technical engagement, and end-to-end customer management. The role involves identifying opportunities, managing customer relationships, executing sales cycles, and ensuring revenue achievement within the assigned territory and industry segments. Desired Profile 4–6 years of experience in machine tool sales, including EDM, metal cutting, or metal forming. Must have a proven track record in sales. Strong field sales exposure and customer relationship management Ability to understand customer processes and offer suitable solutions Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills Key Responsibilities Sales Planning & Field Executional Prepare weekly visit plans and structured monthly sales activity plans Conduct 4–5 customer meetings per day in assigned territory Plan customer meetings based on previous interactions, account history, and research Ensure disciplined execution of field visits aligned with targets Lead Generation & Business Development Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territory and industry segments Generate qualified leads through field activity, networking, and customer interactions Build and maintain a strong professional network for business development Maintain a healthy sales pipeline to achieve monthly and annual targets Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback Customer Engagement & Technical Selling Visit existing and prospective customers to understand requirements and challenges Conduct technical discussions, product presentations, and solution demonstrations Organize customer visits, trials, and evaluation activities where required Prepare requirement mapping (QRF – Quotation Request Format) Develop customized value-based presentations for customer Offer Management & Negotiation Prepare and submit detailed techno-commercial offers with specifications and terms Handle customer queries, objections, and negotiations effectively Finalize offers and ensure conversion into confirmed orders Maintain pricing discipline and required margins during closure Order Execution & Payment Management Ensure technically and commercially cleared order processing Manage advance payments and proforma invoicing (domestic and export cases) Collect EUC (End User Certificate) documents wherever applicable Follow up for timely payment collection until completion Coordinate with commercial, operations, and service teams during execution and shipment Delivery, Installation & Post-Sales Coordination Coordinate with service engineers for machine delivery and installation Ensure verification of scope of supply and absence of transit damage Address discrepancies in coordination with commercial and sales leadership Ensure smooth handover and post-installation customer satisfaction Account Management & Relationship Building Manage assigned accounts for long-term business growth and retention Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers Generate repeat business, referrals, and testimonials Develop and maintain own professional network for future opportunities Reporting & CRM Management Maintain accurate daily updates in CRM systems Provide sales forecasting and pipeline visibility to management Report daily activities and progress to reporting manager Track and improve key metrics such as conversion ratio and sales cycle efficiency Leadership & Internal Coordination Support and mentor junior/trainee sales engineers in sales processes and customer handling Coordinate with commercial, service, and operations teams for smooth execution Share market intelligence, competitor updates, and customer insights with management Ensure adherence to organizational sales policies and processes
Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
