Job Description
SCC is seeking an experienced Structural Manager – Design to lead and manage structural design activities for building construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering safe, cost-effective, and technically sound structural solutions while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design and engineering activities for residential, commercial, and institutional building projects.
- Review and approve structural calculations, drawings, and design reports.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Indian Standards (IS Codes), NBC guidelines, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, project management teams, and external consultants.
- Optimise structural designs for safety, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance to the design team and support project execution teams.
- Conduct design reviews, value engineering, and risk assessments.
- Monitor project timelines and ensure timely delivery of design outputs.
- Resolve technical issues arising during construction and site execution.
Desired Candidate Profile
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (M.E./M.Tech in Structural Engineering preferred).
- 10–15+ years of experience in structural design of building projects.
- Strong expertise in RCC and steel structure design.
- Hands-on experience with structural design and analysis software such as ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAFE, SAP2000, and AutoCAD.
- Good understanding of construction methodologies, design standards, and statutory requirements.
- Proven experience in leading design teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
