An MEP Project Engineer is responsible for designing, managing and supervising the installation, execution, and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems at construction sites. The role focuses on calculations, system layout, technical design, and ensuring compliance with standards and client requirements with project coordination, site execution, quality control, and timely completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare HVAC load calculations and duct/pipe sizing.
- Design electrical power distribution, lighting layouts, and single-line diagrams.
- Design plumbing and drainage systems.
- Prepare detailed drawings using AutoCAD/Revit MEP.
- Ensure designs comply with ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA, and local codes.
- Coordinate with architects and structural teams during design stage.
- Provide technical support during project execution.
- Prepare MEP BOQs, and specifications before execution.
- Coordinate with consultants, architects, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Supervise installation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire fighting, and ELV systems.
- Monitor project schedule and ensure timely completion.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and local codes.
- Prepare progress reports, material submittals, and inspection requests.
- Assist in testing, commissioning, and final handover.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
- 3–7 years of site experience in MEP projects.
- Strong knowledge of engineering standards and HVAC, power distribution, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
