Position Summary
The HR Executive is responsible for attracting, hiring, onboarding, developing, and retaining employees while ensuring a positive work culture at Pentoz Restaurant & Café. The role also oversees attendance, employee engagement, performance tracking, HR compliance, and training to support smooth restaurant operations.
The HR Executive is expected to build a disciplined, customer-focused, and high-performing workforce.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Staffing
- Identify manpower requirements with department heads.
- Source candidates through job portals, referrals, colleges, and local networks.
- Screen resumes and conduct initial interviews.
- Schedule final interviews with the General Manager.
- Coordinate joining formalities.
KPI
- Fill vacancies within 15 days.
- Maintain a hiring success rate above 80%.
2. Employee Onboarding
- Conduct induction for all new employees.
- Explain company policies, SOPs, and grooming standards.
- Coordinate issue of uniforms, ID cards, and employee records.
- Ensure employees complete mandatory documentation before starting work.
KPI
- 100% onboarding compliance.
3. Attendance & Payroll Support
- Maintain daily attendance and shift records.
- Track overtime, weekly offs, and leave.
- Prepare payroll inputs for salary processing.
- Monitor punctuality and absenteeism.
KPI
- Payroll inputs submitted accurately and on time every month.
4. Employee Relations
- Address employee concerns and grievances.
- Conduct regular one-on-one discussions with staff.
- Promote teamwork and a positive work environment.
- Organize employee engagement activities.
KPI
- Employee satisfaction score.
- Reduced employee turnover.
5. Performance Management
- Coordinate probation reviews.
- Track KPIs for each department.
- Assist managers during performance evaluations.
- Recommend training and development plans.
KPI
- 100% probation reviews completed on schedule.
6. Training & Development
- Conduct induction and refresher training.
- Organize customer service, hygiene, and grooming sessions.
- Maintain employee training records.
KPI
- Minimum 4 training sessions per month.
- 100% staff trained on SOPs.
7. HR Compliance
- Maintain employee files and statutory records.
- Support compliance with labour laws and company policies.
- Ensure documentation for new hires, resignations, and exits is complete.
KPI
- Zero compliance issues due to missing HR documentation.
8. Employee Retention
- Conduct stay interviews with new hires during their first 30, 60, and 90 days.
- Conduct exit interviews.
- Identify reasons for employee turnover.
- Recommend retention initiatives.
KPI
- Maintain annual employee retention targets.
- Reduce early attrition (within first 90 days).
Daily Responsibilities
- Review attendance and staffing levels.
- Meet department heads regarding manpower needs.
- Conduct interviews and onboarding activities.
- Resolve employee concerns.
- Update HR records.
- Monitor grooming and uniform compliance.
- Prepare daily HR status report for the General Manager.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hotel Management, or a related field.
Experience
- 1–3 years of HR experience in hospitality, restaurants, hotels, retail, or customer service industries.
